[*Research Press Release] A wireless communication system compatible with the terahertz band was prototyped, achieving long-distance, high-capacity transmission using the 95 GHz band
A research group led by Professor Tetsuya Kawanishi at Waseda University and the Sensor System Research Group of the Research and Development Directorate at the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) has prototyped a wireless communication system compatible with the terahertz band. They successfully achieved a transmission speed of 4 Gbps over a distance of 4.4 km, enabling high-capacity data transmission.
